MEET LAUREN

My experience in the disability sector is truly heartfelt and spans a lifetime. Growing up in a family where disability was an integral part of our lives, I developed a deep, personal connection to this field. I earned a Bachelor of Behavioral Science and pursued further studies in Social Work and Therapeutic Recreation. Throughout my career, I've held roles across the disability sector, from senior management to hands-on support work. I've also spent time teaching scuba diving, instructing Community Services courses, and running lifestyle programs in Aged Care. The common thread in all these diverse experiences is truly listening to what people want and finding wonderful ways to build skills and independence through enjoyable activities.

In creating Rainforest Respite, my goal is to establish a serene space where you feel relaxed, pampered, and supported, allowing you to spread your wings.

I share my life with a wonderful husband and adult twins, along with our much-loved dogs, goats, horses, alpacas, pigs and chickens.
